Bill Curbishley took over management of The Who in 1974. Roger adored him, but it took Pete a little longer to be able to trust him. Bill quickly began to understand the band and what motivated its members. He worked hard to try to cultivate good feeling and to make sure the members were all getting along. He was a fan of the music without being intimidated by the band members. He also managed money matters better, and the band had no more money worries after Bill took charge.
