Why does Truviv offer the women a settlement for their wrongful suit in the novel, Whisper Network?

Truviv’s settlement offer for Sloane, Ardie, and Grace in the wrongful death suit is a symbol of the company’s belief that the women used Ames’ harassment suit for their own personal gain. The company thinks that the women cannot win their case and so offers them a way out that would result in them losing their jobs and having to admit wrongdoing by paying the company their own money.
