Who helps Leila get in touch with Dear Diary in the novel, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

Ned Swain is a member of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service intelligence agency, though he poses as a member of various other organizations as needed, including the CSS. Ned is tough-as-nails, but has a good heart and a strong moral center which precludes him from carrying out particularly nasty instructions, such as assassinating Aung. It is Ned who tips Leila off about what is happening to her and her family, and it is Ned who helps Leila reach out to Dear Diary.
