Host eggs, which is an occurrence in the animal world where one animal tends to the eggs of a completely different animal, represents the parent-child dynamic between Jo and Ursa. In the same way that an animal looks after the eggs that do not technically "belong" to it, Jo looks after Ursa despite the lack of an official relationship between them.
