What is the rising action in the novel, When We Were Birds?

The action rises as Yejide recognizes exactly what her inheritance consists of and as her mother encourages her to run from her duties. The action rises in Darwin’s story as he begins to learn that Errol is involved in some sort of illegal activity. The action continues to rise as Darwin learns that Errol and his followers are not only hiding bodies in the cemetery, but are also stealing from graves. The action continues to rise as Darwin and Yejide meet each other and recognize that they are intended to be together.
