Menon uses repetition to show how Dimple and Rishi’s relationship is developing, and what the two are learning about each other. Specifically, she has them exchange the phrase, “Oh you’ll see my friend” - first with Rishi saying this on page 67. Then repeats it again from Dimple on page 183, then again from Dimple on page 213, then again from Rishi to Dimple on page 344. These repetitive phrases and exchange from Dimple to Rishi show how the two of them are growing in their relationship.
