Why did Paul and Emma decide to include Avastin in his treatment plan in Part 2, Section 3?

Paul wanted to use Avastin even thought the data was mixed and it added potential side effects. He thought since a lot of studies supported its use, it should be included. Emma agreed and also thought it was a good idea since insurance companies made it difficult to add Avastin later, so that was another reason to use it at the beginning.
