In order to see that her children were educated, Paul's mother drove them more than a hundred miles to Las Vegas to take their PSATs, SATs, and ACTs. She joined the school board, motivated teachers, and demanded that AP classes be added to the curriculum. She decided that she would transform the curriculum in Kingman - and she did.
