What did Paul see on a CT scan at the beginning of Part 2, Section 3, and how did he feel about what he saw?

When Paul looked at his CT scan, he saw a new, large tumor. It filled the right middle lobe of his long. He was neither angry or scared. He was resigned. He took it as a fact that couldn't be changed.
