Janie Johnson from The Voice on the Radio, is the girl who was kidnapped by Hannah Spring many years ago. In this novel she has been returned to her birth parents to try and reunite with them. It is difficult as she tries to adjust. Later, when she has problems with Reeve it becomes apparent that blood is thicker than water and she is able to begin to form bonds with her estranged family and siblings.
