What the Wind Knows
What is the main setting in the novel, What the Wind Knows?
.
.
Ireland is the overall setting for the majority of the novel, with the exception of a few scenes in which Anne and Eoin are at Eoin's home in Brooklyn. Ireland holds a special appeal for Anne, partly because it is where Eoin was born and raised. He refuses to travel there, saying it is too dangerous for Anne. Until she travels back in time, she does not understand what he meant. There are several specific settings in Ireland, including Dublin and Garvagh Glebe in 1921 and Sligo and Garvagh Glebe in 2001.
