What is the importance of Alice's gold bracelet in the novel, What Alice Forgot?

Nick originally got gave Alice the gold bracelet when he first found out that she was pregnant. She always wears it because it makes her feel safe and acts as a reminder of Nick’s love for her. What’s very telling is she still has the bracelet even after fighting and divorcing Nick. This represents that she still has lingering feelings for him, even with everything they’re going through.
