What do Elisabeth and Ben do to show they've come to terms with their loss and are ready to move on with their lives in the novel, What Alice Forgot?

At the very end of the book, Elisabeth and Ben go down to the beach and release one rose for each of the children they lost. This is their way of signifying that they’re letting go of their grief and moving on with their lives.
