When Grace called Jennet and Altha to tend to Anna after she only grew sicker under the care of a doctor, William told the women he would blame them if Anna died. Anna was too weak to improve and died under Jennet’s care. At that time, William forbade Grace from seeing Altha, her best friend, again.
