Who is the antagonist in the novel, West of the Moon?

Astri's Aunt is the novel's antagonist. She is a mean woman who cares only about her own daughters. She buys things for her daughters' dowries though it means Astri's family lives in poverty. She may have used money sent by Astri's father to pay for an elaborate wedding for one of her daughters. She sells Astri to Svaalberd, who also plays an antagonistic role, and obviously doesn't care about taking care of Astri and Greta
