How is MotherLove described in the novel, We Need New Names?

MotherLove, Darling’s grandmother, is described as a very religious, who always goes to church up on the mountain. MotherLove is a very strong woman. She doesn’t allow anyone else’s opinion to sway her own opinion. MotherLove is one of the only characters in the book that doesn’t buy into the belief that voting in a new president is going to change anything in their country.
