Who is Mrs. Gerragthy from the story, The Brakes, in the collection, We Live in Water?

Mrs. Gerragthy is a widow with no apparent friends or family. She often openly expresses racist views. She brings her car to the mechanic shop far more often than is necessary. The mechanics often cheat her out of money, and they feel no remorse since she is racist. However, Tommy eventually takes some pity on Mrs. Gerragthy and persuades his coworkers to stop taking financial advantage of her.
