How does the author use foreshadowing in We Have Always Lived in the Castle?

In Chapter Three, the author foreshadows the Julian's heart attack when Constance accompanies him into the house. Constance is concerned with his health and wants to bring him in from the cold. Her concern foreshadows the true state of his health.
