At first, Jesse’s house is a representation of hope for Henry as he searches for the reasoning behind Jesse’s suicide. Then, when he discovers that Jesse’s parents redid his entire room after his death, Henry is devastated. This marks a massive shift in his character arc as he is forced to accept that Jesse is gone and this home that he once saw as almost his own will never be the same. Henry is able to find closure from Jesse’s home, but only after he is able to accept that he will never have the definitive answers he seeks.
