How do Jeremiah and Conrad's relationships with their father differ and change over time in the novel, We’ll Always Have Summer?

Jeremiah and Conrad grew up in Boston, and although both boys are at college during the academic year, they come home to Boston to see their father in the summer. Conrad used to be his father's favorite son, but they had a falling out when Mr. Fisher cheated on Susannah while she had cancer. Conrad hated his father for doing such a thing, and he started to distance himself from Mr. Fisher. Jeremiah, who had always felt second-best, stepped in to become the favorite son.
