Describe the difference in the artist portrayal of a portrait versus a self-portrait.

In a traditional portrait, the subject is formally posed and dressed, not to look so much human as to look powerful or wealthy. This is different than in a self-portrait, where the artist typically includes a more humanistic sense of style and where the subject is not so formally presented to the viewer.
