Who is Gao Qiu from Water Margin and what is their importance?

Gao Qiu is a young scamp from the Xuanwu District first exiled, then passed from family to family untill he was "adopted" by Prince Duan because of his ball playing skills. Prince Duan is later made emperor. As a result, Gao is named a marshal commanding the Imperial Guards.
