In the stories The Grandstand Passion Play of Delbert and the Bumpus Hounds, the sounds of country singer, Gene Autry, begin to pester the Shepherd family at three in the morning the day the Bumpus clan moves in next door to the Shepherd family, and bother them until the night they pull up stakes and leave.
