Rogers, once a student is of Professor Burris, comes from an upper-class background. Unfortunately, his service in WWII changed him greatly. After returning from the Pacific, he is unhappy with his life in the U.S. in its current state. Impressed by his experience in Walden Two, Rogers wants to remain there. His fiancée, however, Barbara, doesn't understand the attraction. She wants luxuries..... the big house, the servants, and children. She has no compassion for the poor and can't imagine ever living the life of Walden Two. Rodgers has a difficult time choosing, but in the end, he leaves with Barbara.
