What is the rising action in the novel, Vox?

The rising action include Jean's return to work in Morgan’s department, and her realization of how unusual the extreme circumstances under which the research is being conducted. Lorenzo and Jean learn that the president wants to reverse engineer the cure that they have developed, possibly to use as a bioweapon.
