What is the falling action in the novel, Vox?

The action falls as Jean describes Patrick’s funeral and the changes in America that give women back their voices. Jean and her family escape to Italy with Lorenzo where Lorenzo fixes a dose of the cure for Jean’s mother who is suffering fluent aphasia.
