Alain, the owner of the modeling agency where Alison worked in Paris, immediately seduced Alison, setting her up in a luxury apartment and giving her access to many jobs which made her lots of money. Alain, however, was as narcissistic and cruel as he was generous, and eventually discarded Alison. He emptied her bank account and locked her out of her apartment so she was forced to return home to New Jersey.
