How does Marshall get what he wants in the novel, Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice For Murderers?

Marshall shows how charismatic people can be just as manipulative as those who are not. Even though the audience never sees Marshal alive, the other character’s thoughts about him show how he uses his charm to get others to do or think whatever he wants. This is how he convinces his father to think that Oliver is the bad twin, how he scams Sana, and why Julia married him instead of Oliver.
