Why is Frederick Bullock, Maria Osborne's suitor and eventual husband, happy about George being cut out of the family will in the novel, Vanity Fair?

When Maria's brother George is disinherited, Frederick does not hide his pleasure that Maria is now likely to receive a larger share of the family's money, which in turn, will benefit him as her husband.
