Why does Lissa get two detentions in Chapter 10?

Mia turns Rose and Lissa in for passing notes during class. The note, as the teacher reads aloud to the class, tells that the night before, Rose and Jesse made out. Rose is already confined to her room, and so can not go anywhere but her room and class. The teacher gives Lissa detention for both of them.
