The main conflict in Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead in a romantic sense is the conflict between Rose and Demitri and the fact of age difference and teacher-student relationships. Howeveri in a non-romantic sense the major conflict is about the Moroi and Stigori social class stigmas and Rose and Lissa attempting to find out who is after them.
