Describe the relationship between Rose and Lissa when they are introduced in Chapter 1.

Lissa is a Moroi vampire of noble birth. Rose is a dhampir. They have been best friends since kindergarten. After a car accident that should have killed them both, Lissa heals herself and brings Rose back from the dead. This caused Rose to have a special bond to Lissa, allowing her to sense Lissa's feelings and to enter her mind and see through her eyes.
