The Wood is a forest that is inhabited by evil. At one point, The Wood is described as a place worse than the home of monsters because this is a place where something evil creates monsters. The Wood is known to grab people and keep them prisoner or kill them outright. There are strange creatures in The Wood including the Walkers who look like sapling trees with human traits and features. These Walkers are not evil in and of themselves, and they help Agnieszka once she sets out to heal The Wood after the Wood-Queen's demise.
