Where does Julius spend a lot of time following his mother's death in the novel, Unsettled Ground?

In the days and weeks following his mother's death, Julius begins spending more and more time at the local pub. He often stops in after finishing a job to charge his phone and have a drink. Sometimes these visits turn into entire nights, and he does not return to the cottage or caravan until late, or even until morning.
