What is the author's style in Unnatural Death: Confessions of a Medical Examiner by Michael Baden?

The perspective of this book is told from that of the author, Michael Baden. He uses his background as a visiting professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Albert Einstein College of Medicine as he tells the stories in each case.
