What is the author's style in Unleash the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon?

This story is fiction, a work in which one timeframe is briefly interrupted by another. The people in the earlier timeframe are Wren's mother and father in the 1980's. Love conquers all, the author shows us. Maggie and Wren, the main characters, enter a relationship not knowing much about each other. Wren holds his Were-Hunter status in secret in the beginning, but learns to trust Maggie and, slowly, the relationship grows. Before long, Maggie learns of Wren's half man, half animal status and grows to love him absolutely with everything in her soul. As it turns out, they are mated in the end and have their families surrounding them.
