Erendis woos Anarfil for many years, and then is engaged to him for many more years before she finally marries him and becomes his Queen. She despises his voyages and is jealous of the time he spends at sea, thus over time, she comes to hate him. In the end, she lives as if she has no husband and ignores him completely.
