To Wallace, the office is the pinnacle of productivity, intelligence, and ingenuity. His own office is meticulously taken care of and he strives to make everything function as perfectly as possible. It is not until after his death that Wallace realizes he ran his office like a dictator, and his exceedingly high standards caused terror and hatred rather than loyalty and effectiveness.
