How did Miles and Rachel choose Clayton's name in the novel, Ugly Love?

Rachel and Miles named their son Clayton because Miles was asked to walk Rachel to Mr. Clayton’s room on the day they first met. Tate, meanwhile, insisted on naming their baby after Cap, the man who had served as a mentor to both of them during the early stages of their relationship.
