What causes Mr. Brancusi to completely cut all ties with Bill in the novel, Two Wrongs?

Mr. Brancusi, Bill’s producer, helped usher in the early successes that made Bill’s name. When Brancusi visits London to try and persuade Bill to return to New York, Bill’s rudeness at being reminded of the reasons for his failure causes Brancusi to completely cut ties with Bill.
