Who is Sir Robert Filmer from Two Treatises of Government and what is their importance?

Cambridge graduate, Sir Robert Filmer, was from Kent. He was knighted by Charles I, and later authored Patriarcha, which was written around 1628-31. Patriacha supported absolutism.... the divine right of monarchs.
