Who is Black Dog from Treasure Island?

Black Dog is the first pirate to show up at Jim's parent's inn looking for Billy Bones. His left hand is short two fingers, and when he comes for Billy Bones, Black Dog ends up the injured party. Jim later sees Black Dog drinking in the pub where Silver cooks.
