Who is BEN GUNN from Treasure Island?

Ben Gunn is a pirate, who served under the command of Captain Flint. He has been marooned on Treasure Island for three years. Alone and without company, Gunn befriends and helps Jim and the others to escape. Before the arrival of the ship, Gunn effectively discovered and reburied Flint's treasure.
