What reasons does Gardo give for wanting to be patient and putting off their visit to the train station to check out what is inside the locker?

Gardo worries that the police might be watching the boys since Raphael's aunt had focused their attention on Raphael on the first day of their search. Gardo also is concerned that the police might come to the dumpsite looking for them in order to question them further, and if they are missing, it will be dangerous for them. Finally, Gardo thinks that the boys must keep up the illusion of normalcy and therefore must join the search for which the police are paying each person who helps with the search for the missing leather bag.
