What is The Note?

The note is a symbol of an intended recipient. Before Bug finds this unintelligible note on the floor of her bedroom, she is not sure for whom the strange, ghostly messages she has been noticing are intended. The note and her mother’s lack of knowledge about the note tell Bug that the messages are intended for her.
