To the Storm is the autobiography of Yue Daiyun written by her and Carolyn Wakeman. It is her story of what happened in China during those tumultuous years. The events are told from the perspective of Yue Daiyun. To the Storm is the story of what happened when she became a student and then a faculty member at Beida. Yue Daiyun lived through all of the events that are discussed in the book. She experienced the criticism meetings and being labeled a rightist and sent to the countryside for two years of rehabilitation.
