In the novel by Harper Lee (To Kill a Mockingbird) the main characters are Jem, Scout, Atticus, Aunt Alexandria, Dill, Boo Radley, Maude, and Tom Robinson. Jem and Scout are the young children of Atticus Finch, a lawyer in a 1930's southern town. He is representing Tom Robinson, a black man who is accused of raping a white woman. Aunt Alexandria is Atticus's sister, Dill is Jem's best friend (and is black), Boo Radley and Maude are neighbors that the Finch Family learn many lessons from about perspectives and morality.
