How does Jack London use imagery in To Build a Fire?

London fills his story with the imagery of the power and majesty of the Yukon. We see frozen white undulating hills and forest for as far as the eye could see. We see imagery of the man's physical and emotional disintegration as he moves forward. We also see the imagery of the Husky dog who is stronger than man with a wisdom and physicality (thick coat of fur) that comes from generations of natural selection and evolution.
