What is the author's tone in Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume?

The tone of the story is driven through Davey. The entire novel is written from the main character's point of view. Using Davey's outlook to guide the story allows the reader to live through everything that Davey lives through. We can feel the fear, sadness, anf longing through Davey's narrative.
