Three Men in a Boat: To Say Nothing of the Dog What is the author's tone in Three Men in a Boat: To Say Nothing of the Dog by Jerome K. Jerome? Asked by bookragstutor on 20 Aug 02:33 Last updated by Cat on 26 Jun 02:50
J's tone is really dry and conservative. It is this tone that carries much of the weight of the humour. J's "matter-of-fact" descriptions or "travelogue" are quite entertaining considering the foibles they get into.
